In 2012 I bought a small Cotoneaster plant in a nursery. It had a nice nebari.. but the rest of the tree was nothing special.... no taper on the trunk and for sure no branches that could be used.. maybe for a tiny bunjii style tree...

- I cut of the main trunk to develop a new one with more taper.
The pictures is taken in the fall.
May 2015
Old stump was cut off and first wire was applied.
We will see what the future this tree will have.
Next year I will repot it in a bigger pot to develop furter.
